our second day of backpacking lead us to a sweet campspot between two lakes. They were the aptly named Shale Lake and Mud Hole Lakes. Shale Lake was the better one for swimming (duh) and we went in immediately to wash off before setting up camp for the night.

Again we were the only people camping here, two lakes and a view of the mountain all to ourselves.
