My first sighting of Orcas (killer whales) in the wild. I'd been awake for less than 10 minutes when I saw them in the water just north of us. We were between Cypress & Blakely Islands. There were lots of young whales in the group.

We saw about a dozen of them total that day. The made fantastic sounds: blowing out water through their blowholes, sucking in huge breaths, slapping their massive tails on the water. AMAZING!
