feverish

Hello everyone

Last weekend was pretty mellow for me as I was not feeling well. I had had a fever most of the week and was still not feeling altogether energetic. I had Friday afternoon off (since I had worked a few hours the previous Saturday). Gina and I walked up to Mt Tabor Park with the dogs. I sat on the sunny hillside while she launched tennis balls for the dogs to catch.

Saturday I took it easy, watching movies and reading my book. I did buy some tomato plants and squash and zucchini and planted those in my garden. I can’t wait for summer tomatoes! That evening I kept hearing the sounds of bagpipes and drums. I walked down to the elementary school near my house and found a band playing…bagpipes and drums. It was pretty neat to see while the kids played on the playground and neighbors walked their dogs.

Sunday again I took it easy as I was still not feeling altogether great. In the evening I went with Elaine to the Alberta Street Public House where we met Dave. Our friend Alexa Wiley was playing music. She was supposed to open for Michael Hurley (who I LOVE and have never seen live) but there was some confusion about where the show was supposed to be and he never made it. I still had a great time with Elaine and Dave. After we watched Alexa play we sat out on the back patio, under heat lamps, drinking beers and hanging out with a dirty neighborhood cat. heehee

So that was my weekend! I’m feeling much better now and hopefully can stay on top of these updates again! Please let me know how you are and what you’ve been up to!

xoxo,
carolyn
