spring in the mountains
At 2,000 feet up Trout Lake is definitely slower to warm up than Portland at sea level. Their trees are still bare or just beginning to leaf out while in Portland they're almost all green. Wampler's daffodils were still blooming while mine are all done. Going up the mountain is like a time warp for seasons. I loved these colors in a field leading to a forest leading to Mt Adams
