The road from Trout Lake back to the Gorge follows along the White Salmon River until it joins the Columbia. The river is a beautiful blue/green color and very popular for kayaking and rafting. Damn that water is cold though! On the hottest day in August jumping in still takes my breath away and makes me literally scream. tingly cold
