The Wauna Lake Club hosts a competition each summer for all the kids around the lake. Mike won "Best All-Around Boy" for two years in a row when he was growing up.

Jess and I watched him get his fishing pole all ready for some evening fishing. On his second cast he caught an oak tree and had to use the canoe to de-snag his hook and lure. He is really a quite able outdoorsman. He spent the summer working on the PBR kayaking tour. rough. The boy knows his way around a boat.
