on the wall behind my shoulder is a carving my parents bought in Haiti before I was born. My parents gave it to me when I moved into my first apartment. I'm sure it was hanging on the wall in the living room in the photo (Seattle 1979).

I've been collecting family stories & geneaology information in earnest from my grandma via email. I'm so happy to have a written record of these things. It's amazing some of things I'm learning.
